Pear Butter

Sweet ripe pears, seasoned with ground clove and cinnamon. Stewed in its own juices and a little brown and white sugar for added sweetness. Pear Butter gets its name because it’s creamy, whipped texture resembles that of butter.  Pear butter, is much like jams and jellies, but with less sugar and the absence of pectin. It’s naturally thickened by the pear’s fiber. The sweetness of the pears reduces the need for too much additional sugar.
