A great side to any meal. Roasted potatoes, thinly cut, drizzled with olive oil seasoned with Za’atar, a seasoning blend of thyme, oregano, sumac, sesame seeds and salt.
Za'atar Roasted Potatoes
Ingredients
- 4 Whole Russet Potatoes
- 4 Tablespoons Butter or Olive Oil
- 2 Teaspoons Za'atar
Instructions
- Wash the potatoes to remove any dirt. Place a chopstick or like size stick on both sides of the potato lengthways. Make thin cuts from one end of the potato to the other.
- Place the potatoes on a baking sheet covered in parchment. gently pull apart the potato to create space to pour the olive oil. Pour one tablespoon olive oil into the cuts, and dust with za'atar
- Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 45 Minutes or until potatoes are soft.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Suggest pouring a little more melted butter or oil over the cooked potatoes prior to serving.
